Allegany Station - Filmore, NY
Primesouth assumed the operations and maintenance of Rochester Gas & Electric's Allegany Station on January 1, 2004. The plant is a 62-megawatt combined cycle power plant utilizing the following plant equipment:
General Electric LM6000 Gas Turbine (185-143 PA SAC)
General Electric Steam Turbine
Deltak Heat Recovery Steam Generator (HRSG)
Mitsubishi Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR)
Bailey Infi-net 90 Distributive Control System (DCS)
Alleghany Station, was originally designed as a cogeneration facility with the adjacent greenhouse as the host. The greenhouse is currently in service, however, all interconnections between the two facilities were severed with the exception of a water supply line from the station to the greenhouse.
Primesouth has successfully executed and secured Title V and Title IV Phase II Air Permit; NYSDEC SPDES Permit; and NYSDEC and Army Corp of Engineers Dredging Permits.
Alleghany Station’s Value Weight Availability (VWA) has increased from 97.2% in 2004 to 100% in 2009 and continues to meet and exceed customer expectations.
Dell Power Plant - Dell, AR
Primesouth providse operations and maintenance
services for the Dell Power Plant, a 580-MW, natural gas fired, peaking, combined cycle facility, owned by Associated Electric Cooperative, Inc. The project completed construction and was declared commercial on August 24, 2007.
Nineteen non-union employees operate and maintain the facility.
Ethanol Acquisitions LLC Project - Hereford, TX
In May 2009 Primesouth signed a three year renewable contract with Ethanol Acquisition LLC to provide operations and maintenance services of a 105 million gallon per year ethanol production facility located near Hereford, Texas.
Currently the project is in mothball status with six employees maintaining the site.
